Facing the Uncertain

As many of you may know, my account was suddenly disabled last week with no warning or reason given. Needless to say, it was upsetting and stressful. One of the hardest places we’ll ever find ourselves is when we’re facing uncertainty. Uncertainty is a tough place to be because we can’t begin to cope with whatever outcome because we just don’t know what we’ll be dealing with.

Not knowing can be so hard.

When we find ourselves facing uncertainty, one of the best ways we can manage that difficult space is by shifting our attention and energy onto what we can control.

We can find internal control and external control. Internal control can look like how we choose to respond to the situation, how we take care of ourselves, the thoughts we spend time with, the self care and compassion we practice. External control- the things we do that go beyond ourselves- can look like self advocacy, relying on our social support, asking for help.

What helps you in moments of uncertainty?

I am so grateful to be back here- connected to all of you. I appreciate the support I felt so strongly these last several days.

Sending you lots of love!
