It makes me think, if we’re doing this dismissing-the-good-stuff IN therapy- which is a safe, judgment free zone, how often are we doing this outside of therapy?

Not owning what is amazing about you can look like not accepting compliments, downplaying your hard work, not talking about the feeling of PRIDE you get in doing something hard.

Why have we been trained to minimize the strengths and how powerful we really are?

So here’s to a week of acknowledging more fully our strengths, our amazing ness. Knowing it deeply inside- and feeling more comfortable putting that energy out into the world. Each of us are tremendously resilient and awesome (in the literal sense) creatures. Let’s start owning it more.

Have a wonderful week!
